Tanners Wines

Tanners is a family-owned independent wine merchant celebrating over 180 years in business, now run by fourth-generation James Tanner from their distinctive black and white headquarters in Shrewsbury.

The company employs over 100 people and serves quality-minded hotels, restaurants, and private clients both locally and nationwide, with many long-serving staff members reflecting their commitment to traditional service values.

Tanners specializes in carefully selected wines sourced directly from producers worldwide, with buyers who travel extensively to build relationships with growers and ensure quality, often focusing on organic and biodynamic producers while maintaining competitive pricing through direct sourcing and their own bonded warehouse in Welshpool.
